I woke up on True Parents Birthday in the early 80’s and walked through the Lobby of The New Yorker. Three or four people passed by, entering the building and I greeted them all with Merry Christmas! They just nodded but then one sister was upset that I said that. She just said you should not say that and left in a hmmmph. Later at 9:00AM True Father began to speak and the very first words out of his mouth were that when you woke up this morning the first thing you should have said is Merry Christmas. Since that time I have always felt that True Parents Birthday should be celebrated with two Christmas trees and expand the foundation of the season in that way. I feel sad that the world does not see enough of our celebration at the time of True Parents Birthday.
